thanks Gump, much appreciated. Dr. just gave me five range of motion exercises to start with (nothing broken...thinks a bad sprain by viewing standard xrays). Said sprains can take 6-8-12 weeks to fully heal. Ten strengthening exercises are to follow. He wrote rx for pt I'm already seeing for back. Referring me to ortho specialist also for osteo testing, and doc in Atl is sending down bone stim device for the prior fracture. I'm thinkin that's enough  , but plan to start hitting the gym asap. Said no skiing for a good long while, but :sneaky: maybe I can just float in a week or so! :cool2:
Demon, told him my ankle popped really loudly around five hours later, and that I felt much relief immed afterwards. That got raised brows...said I prob partially dislocated something (some name for that type of dislocation), and that it re-aligned itself (explaining the severe pain). Perhaps that is what happened to you.
Saki, not sure if you went to doc or not, but if you want the diagrams of these exercises, let me know. (that vid I took of your ankle dance is pretty funny, but your "Thought of the Day" turned out much better!)
