Need my driveshaft lengthened..

Trying to get everything aligned in my 66e conversion and need my SX drive shaft lengthened about 5/8ths of an inch.

Anyone do this or know where it can be done?

Yeah probably, just trying to feel out options. Don't wana spend 100$ on another driveshaft and then another 100 to have it shortened.

Better to shorten than lengthen. Adding on to it plus keeping it true and strong enough would be a chore. You would either have to cut it and add a section in the middle (2 welds) or add to the length at either the threads or spline side. Remachine and true.

I have plenty(4) of Yamaha 144mm pump long drive shafts from sitdowns in great condition. They are still in the pumps but i can separate.

550sx is the longest kawi shaft made as far as I know.

Lots of room to work with chopping down. Both in front of and behind the bearing block.

What is your target length?
