Have her do the turf and you can just help her when needed. My gf works on her skis for the most part. I check over everything to make sure it's ok, but I usually make her turn the wrenches. If you work on your own stuff you usually have more respect for it. Hell I even learned some things from her. I learned the best way to adjust your steering.

Her next project is building a 701 for her sj.

I would say your best bet is to make suggestions and make sure she understands what you're explaining. Sometimes we want to change the ski but don't know what to do about it. So if you make suggestions, show examples, and explain things you're more likely to get things figured out. Tell her to start reading on the forums too. I've learned a ton just lurking on here. I think I'm on here more than I am on Facebook.

^^^ haha yeah for sure. I planned on having her do most of it. We talked last night and she is super excited to see the ski go through the changes and become unique to her.

Vumad, how am I spending brownie points when she rides with me and loves it or wants to stay out longer than I do just to improve?

Generally speaking, and this may not apply to your lady, but the ladies like to participate and improve so they can better share our interests. A lot of guys get confused and believe their lady thinks like them. This is not true. Lisa likes riding skis. She has a lot of fun, she is athletic and she tries to improve. However, I also know the sport does not mean to her what it means to me. Every time she rides skis with me, she gives up on something like a trip to a museum, art show, play, going dancing, so forth. She enjoys my interests, so I make an effort to enjoy hers.

I'm not suggesting your relationship is any different. Just having a discussion of generalizations. It's cool you are letting her take some ownership in the ski. It will make the sport much more rewarding for her.

Sounds like Brandi. She was totally bummed we didn't make it to the lake in Wednesday. She even said "my square nose misses me" lol I wasn't even that upset. Sounds like I'm set.

^^^yea listen to him :p haha just kidding. I don't plan on going anywhere we've been together for 3 years. He's stuck with me.

She loves it enough to be on the forum and you haven't given her a ring?

Dude... I just gave a big middle finger to Bro-code didn't I. All well. Deal with it. Buy a ring, set a date, and get jet ski cake toppers.
