SXR Need some carb advice for SXR

Well I have a 04 SXR that I just did a lot of hull work to make it a better wake/surf ski and just received a factory wet pipe from my awesome girlfriend. While I was cleaning and setting up my stock carbs per factory pipe instructions and my low screws were so stuck I ended up breaking them both off flush. I assume there at stock settings from Kawi. My question is how screwed am I? FP says they should be 1 turn out and I heard Kawi sets them at 7/8 out. What are my options to get my ski to run it's best. My motors stock but arrestors and now wet pipe. Should I look for another set of stock carbs, is there a way to drill the screws out (I wouldn't think that would be a good idea) is there a place i can send them to get fixed/rebuilt or is there better aftermarket that I should look into? Any advice will help, thanks!

That sucks! I think you are best not to run them that way. If they were stuck then who knows if the circuits are plugged too? Factory pipe's settings are notoriously rich, but I still wouldn't take a chance with the stuck screws. I might have a set of those style carbs here (mikini 40i's). I actually used to run them on my SJ and these ones were modified to have a booster venturi like Full Spectrums... good carbs. If so, I can send them to you to try/borrow and/or buy.I'm trying to get my superfreak built so I can come down to the LSFR. If that works out, you can give them back to me then or buy them (cheap ) if they are working well for you

Hey Neal! That' would be the tits if you find them. I don't know jack about carbs, but how to clean and change jets. No clue what the booster mod is. But id like to give them a shot. My carbs are really beat anyways. I never adjusted them when I got my ski cuz they worked fine. Let me know if they turn up so we can work out some details. You'd be a life saver! :Banane35:

I definitely have the carbs - now trying to find the booster atomizer inserts. Won't work without them. Kevin might have a set so I just left him a message too. Will let you know. You will definitely have to swap all of the linkage off your carbs and possibly the shafts because I had to spin these around 180* to get them to work on a SJ.Here are the atomizers I'm talking about: atomizer.jpg
