Blaster Need some help with my 93 Blaster

I finally got all of my new stuff installed today!

Here's the list of mods:

Wetjet 46mm SBN carburetor
Wetjet reed stuffer manifold
Boysean two stage reeds
Oceanpro Vortex flame arrestor
Primer/choke plate eliminated
Protec half girdle
Wetjet/Westcoast with 30cc domes (180psi)
Wetjet/Westcoast pipe (everything has been shaped to match the exhaust gasket)
TDR waterbox
Skat-trak 12-17 big hub prop, 3mm set back
Protec open intake grate
R&D ride plate...

I gave it a quick start on the trailer and it idles but won't rev up. The jetting I started with is a 130 low, 155 high, 2.0 needle and seat at about 19-20 psi pop off.

I didn't get it into the water but it would rev up great with the old 44 set up. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Since you said it ran fine with the stock 44, there is definitely something going on with the 46. Your gong to have to completely dissasemble it to see what's going on. Definitely check the internal fuel filter and all the diaphragms to make sure they are not distorted or ripped.

I cleaned and rebuilt the carb prior to starting it yesterday. I changed all of the gaskets and diaphragms. I'll go through it again to be sure.

Do you think the 2.0 needle and seat at 19-20 psi popoff is right with that oceanpro vortex flame arrestor?

It has been years since I had that exact same setup in my B1 so I really don't have my notes anymore. Hopefully someone else will chime in that has a little more knowledge. However, there is really not that much of a difference between the 44 and 46 so if the 44 is running good, it may be a good idea to just run that u till you get the 46 sorted out. Also, that WetJet intake worked well for top end but not for low end snap. At least for me anyway. The stock intake and 44 carb is what worked best.

I pulled the carb off again and found a few little pieces of debris and the internal filter was warped a little.

I found the base of the carb was not square either. I trued the base by using a piece of glass and fine grit sandpaper. After my simple machine job it was perfectly square. I put it back on and started it. The motor instantly raced as though there was a major intake leak. I shut it down. The carb was mounted perfect and was not leaking. I pulled the intake off and it looked like there was a major leak. I installed a new gasket with gasket sealer this time. Last time, I installed the intake gasket dry which I believe led to the leak. I'm letting it dry over night and I'll test fire it tomorrow. I'm thinking it should be at least in the right track now.
