positive and negative feedback forums are good, Pete as we all have witnessed is a very passionate man, so much so that it obstructs the point a little.
Pete - would you agree that if you told a coworker paragraph by paragraph your gripe and let them edit it for content that you would have made a much more powerful and credible statement? would anyone else agree? there will be backlash sure and that should be ignored or commented on in the same style as the post.
will LPW continue? I think so, and if there is an ounce of truth to any single part of this it just mean LPW has been put on notice, and know its time to address some problems before it really starts to have an impact.
not knowing either party beyond this site it seems to me, Pete pushed Pauls work real hard, and now regrets it. Pete if you swore to me on your life that brand x was the way to go, I would still be ultimately responsible in making that decision, no matter how much you feel responsible it ain't on you.
and were I do research brand x and decide it was in fact the way to go for me personally then if there was a problem that is now between myself and brand x. nothing to do with you, not one thing. so stop beating yourself up, people will still use LPW and it will go smooth or not all on its own. you warned us and now its on us.
last thing- even if all that was said and some more that was not said was true, does it mean that LPW can never ever do it right? people make mistakes and learn from them. so what was true yesterday may be different today.
we all are smart enough to understand no matter who is right or wrong here that this is pretty much true with all businesses. the good ones prosper and the bad ones don't last, at least I hope so.

Hey butti I see where you are coming from, but I think feedback section or no feedback section feedback threads are still going to pop up.
I mean come on there are plenty of times where a company legitimately does screw up and does nothing to fix their screw up. As a member of this site if you are screwed over like this you write a negative feedback for 3 reasons:
1. Warn other people about this company so they don't make the same mistake.
2. Maybe by posting the negative feedback for the company to see it might be an eye opener for the company and they may change their ways.
3. I'm not saying this reason is a good reason or the right reason, but at least you feel like you were able to get even with that company that just screwed you over.
Now on the flip side I do understand that there are also many times where the customer leaving the negative feedback was wrong and the beauty about these public forums is that the company has a chance to respond and tell their side of the story then we as the consumers have the right to look at both sides and make a decision for ourselves about whether we would ever like to deal with that company or not.
Like I said before I completely agree with you that most of the negative feedbacks left on here are out of line and are very bad for the sport. I really believe that if the feedback threads can be successfully moderated(which is no easy task) that in the end they will be very beneficial to the riders and the companies.

pete slow your roll bro, you may remember last year before daytona I Pmed you about some help with br? you were a super nice guy and I was pleased you would waste a second to talk to me. I have the jersey rager vid on my desktop and just marvel at your br in what has to be six inches of water! I have a huge respect and awe of your skills, and for the work ( and i have no clue of what is involved) to put together a ride. so I am not out to cast a negative light on you at all.
I have in my short time ( 36 years) had some dealings with friends go wrong. my view is they are f'd in the head. their view of me is the same I am sure. the mutual friends sometimes see both sides. does not make me happy but its their perspective. with time and wisdom I later find out I was wrong in one way or another or to a small degree even.or am more sure they were. no matter the point is my perspective changed from what it originally was. knowing this how can I count on your truth to be exact? I don't know all the details- I did not live it- you did. maybe you got pissed about something and now its snowballing and little things are geting blown a little more out of proportion? I am not in a position to know that. so I am just trying to see both sides of the story with basically a very little of it to go on. and that is just a guess made from the comments you have made and the lack of info from the other side. yes you have other people back up your claims, but I still am handicapped in how much I can really know.
in the end it makes no difference if its all 100% true or not. raging set aside you did what you should have done and that was warn us of a potentially bad situation- it could have been conveyed a little better but I understand- its just how you are, youre in the moment and fighting mad. I get it. I think.
so thanks for the heads up. we have been warned. I am sure anyone who doesn't agree with you and uses LPW will just as a precaution scrutinize the work and the business a little closer if not more. so once again you succeeded right? even with the peeps who do not agree with you.
Now just for ********z and giggles- lets say you are a pathological liar! but we all fall for it!!!!!!! people will still probably have skis worked on by LPW as it is my understanding he also does maint/repair and maybe some motors, If he does quality work he will continue to do business, but people will be watching like a hawk. so once again either way your mission is accomplished. bottom line is the ball is in his court and he will sink or swim on the work he puts out, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BUSINESS!
