SX/SXi/SXi Pro New alum heat too hottttt?????

OK put a ada billet alum head on my 94 750sx i also put a bigger outlet for the water than stock question the water coming out is very very hot and when I touch the head it self 9just before I flush it ) the head is very very hot is this normal if not what do i do I tried to post in diff section but the site would not let me please helppppp:Banane13:

I would check that the water going into the motor is sufficient. You put a bigger outlet on but is the flow the same? Is it routed the same?

theflow is more but it is routed the same I put a alum bigger spout next to the stock

SORRY BUT I NEED HELP HERE I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THE HEAD AND DONT WANT TO WARP IT.I PUT A ADA ALUM HEAD ON MY 94 750 SX AND THE WATER COMING OUT IS VERY HOT AND THE HEAD IS ALSO VERY HOT TO THE TOUCH IS IT NORMAL ? As long as you can touch it without burning yourself, there's nothing to worry about.

Since terms like 'hot' are all relative, it's hard to determine what 'too hot' means to someone without a detailed explanation.

Start by taking your CAPSLOCK off.

My pisser pees warm water too. I think it's a bad thing when you start peeing cold water.

In the other thread you said you added a SBN 46 too......is your jetting off? How does it run in the water? What domes are in your head? What octane gas are you using?

A little more detailed info and patience will get you a long way.

An aluminum head like that raises your compression and that will make your engine produce more heat. If everything checks out with your cooling system and your pisser temp is too hot to touch then you might need to add dual cooling.

Ok thank you for the help I am learning about the site.I am runing reg high test gas.It rund fine in the water.I dont know about the doms.They came with the head.I did have a prob with the carb.The needle was stuck so they had to sand it and put it back.The water coming out is hot but wont burn my fingers.But when I touch the head if I left my finger on fo more than 5 sec it would burn my finger.Like I said I had a shop do it for me.But they dont usually work on standups no one does out here.I dont want anything to happen to my ski.I just spent $2500 on parts and labor and just want her to run well for the short season we have out here.I have been riding for 30 years yes 30 years and just want to ride for the rest of the season with no problems.so please let me know what to do so i can acomplish that

I'd take it back to the shop!!! The dome size would be good to know since they affect compression......which octane of gas can affect. Reg high test.....93 octane?

That's not unreasonable at all. Sounds like normal operating temperature.
