I’d highly suggest using 61x or 62t ignition. 760 has staggered timing and lower compression on the rear cylinder which loses power. It was designed for a heavy couch not a light standup.

What technique did you use to clean up and repaint the engine? It looks awesome, nice work!
Thanks, I bead blasted it and then powder coated it. I used a Harbor Freight powder Coat setup and powder from Prismatic Powders. They are cool because they sell small quantities and will send you swatches so that you can see what you are getting.

I found those two facts out pretty late in the game. At some point, I will change it out but I wanted it on the water sooner rather than later. The problem was that swapping out the ignition opened up a bunch of other issues.
1. I would need to bead blast and powder coat a new electrics box and front cover. Both are different from what I have.
2. If I am doing it, I would want to do the Rev Limiter mods so, I would need to read up and mod that.
3. I would then need to either mill the stock head and re-cut the squish or make some domes for a head that my buddy's shop was making. Unfortunately, he has no domes left. Both didn't sound exciting

I put in some work today. I forgot how tight everything gets once you start putting stuff in. If all goes well, i should have some time to wrap a couple of things up and try to give it a start. Here it is as of this eveningIMG_1056.JPGIMG_1059.JPG
