Freestyle New enclosed trailer update.

Last year I picked up a 10x6 enclosed trailer from Phil Clemons right before world finals. He did it up right and it was turn key ready to go 30+ hours to Havasu. Carpet walls, full size tool box, work bench, 30 gallon fuel drum, LED lights, and set up to hold 4 skis.

Didn't think I'd ever have to do anything to it. But after having a blow out at 2:00am and loosing a fender, it started a project. Got to havasu and bought new aluminum wheels and tires that look sick and New fender.

Finally getting around to changing it up. First thing I did was pull the rack out that was fully bolted in, put in e track, and now built new racks that can come in and out with no tools. Now I can use it for more than just skis. And just have two skis in there with room to move if I need.
The bottom rack I designed to double as a truck bed rack.
Last thing for today, I added a tool box to the front so next time I have a blow out, all the tools and jack are there ready to go without digging through a packed trailer. Plan on putting a battery in there too to run the lights.
Last things left:
Add more e track to the top so I can store the upper rack up higher out of the way when I'm not using it.
Find a way to add upright supports for the upper rack and and bed rack that don't bolt on. I think it they need they extra support.
Add a battery to run the lights.

Idk why, but I am obsessed with this little trailer. It is perfect. Got lucky to find one ready to go and done up right.

Pretty cool. I really enjoyed having my 6x12 enclosed trailer down to Daytona and back. I need to think about some upgrades/enhancements.

Does the carpeting on the walls add any value or just a finishing touch?

The toolbox on the front is great, can you sneak the spare tire on the outside too?

Nice setup dude. I was thinking of building an 8.5x20 for myself for events (Half garage, half living area). Looks like that blowout didn't affect the trailer at all, just the fender? That's what has me thinking of getting the 7x20 in case of any issues like that so you don't have to worry about replacing or repairing any of the sheet metal on the sides if damage occurs.

I like how the doors were done on your IG pictures. Very clean trailer! You will like the bed rack on frequent trips though and not having to drive at reduced speeds. That is the biggest thing holding me back on getting a trailer since I have a bed system for the ski already.

Me personally, I would loose the scews that are drilled up into the PVC. Then use nuts and bolts. The screws can work loose and or fail. Nice setup.

Yeah I went back and forth on bolting them or just screw them and go. Figured they are really just to hold the pvc in place, the hull keeps them in place for side to side movement, the screws just hold the pvc when you are siding it in. But you might be right about loosing up.

Thanks! Just looks better than raw wood.

be sure that whatever you used to secure the Etrack will hold up to the load.

Oh those are on good. Really the vertical supports (that aren't in the pictures) will take most of the load.

And really I may never travel with 4 complete skis in there. Just making it where I can if I had to, or put hulls up there. And mainly because I use the trailer for storage. I could store 4 skis in there over the winter.
Storing another superjet in there this week. That's what got me on the kick to make the rack.

Right now I've just been using that upper rack for my cart and chairs.

Yeah I don't know if I'll ever use it because you need more than me and the wife to lift the skis up there. But I made it where if I did ever need one, I have one. It has vertical supports as well that i cut out.

I would have tried to put the 400lb fuel barrel more in the middle. Can you slide the toolbox left and scoot everything around? I feel thats a lot of weight up on that one corner.

Also with carpet that fuel vapor is gonna soak in a bit. Put a fire extinguisher somewhere.

Its only 30 gallons, about 240lbs full. The tool box weighs more than that loaded down and I have 3 5 gallon jugs on the other side. The can is sealed 99% of the time with 15 gallons or less in it, so its balanced just fine.

I hope I never have that much vapor in there were it soaks into something. Like I said, its sealed 99% of the time.

Oh I thought it was a 54 gallon drum.

That would be big! It looks small in person. I have a 55 drum in the garage I use. I would really only use this one for Havasu, when I need more than my 15 gallons in jugs. Other than that, I just use the 55 drum that the fuel comes in sitting in my garage. (that's why I said this one is sealed 99% of the time).

I should probably just call this trailer my havasu/storage trailer. I wont use it around here, that's what the open trailer is for. Just back in the water and go.

u should just get a small winch u got the battery and make some extra slides and u can winch the skis up on top ......
We have 8.5*16 enclosed trailer no stacking just midlevel skis bunks, we can remove a section of the bunks and park a little 2 place standup trailer inside which we use in Havasu....

In any case enclosed trailer is the way to go....
