Super Jet New guy here- My two SN's

Lurked on here for a little, decided it was time to actually join. Bought both of the boats in early summer of 2011 and have throughly enjoyed them. For any SW Washinton guys, I ride on the Columbia River in Vancouver but mostly on Lacamas Lake in Camas.

I ride '91 and '93 Yamaha SuperJets. The green is the '93 and the orange the '91. We did the turf ourselves, and turned out great. Blowsion guys cut it to fit and gave us advice. They also sent us some great parts. Good thing they aren't far away

The '91

About 700cc. Has msd ignition, TDR waterbox, Coffman pipe, Blowsion filter. Fun but nothing too special
The '93. My baby

*Bored out to 800cc (what I was told) but possibly is just a 760* Has a custom intake, a Factory B pipe w/ Tim Tynan TNT chamber, MSD ignition, custom made waterbox, Blowsion air forced filter. The throttle was modded to pull from the top for quicker response, Worx ride plate, new driveshaft and installed a 12 vein pump. Also has a Sato Engineering pump nozzle which you can see in the 2nd picture
This one is now scary quick. Extremely responsive throttle and quick acceleration. We've tried to test top speed using a friends sit down that had a speedo, and the highest we got it until we stopped was 55mph

Hi welcome to the board. Nice looking skis.
Is the one with the TNT chamber a stock 61X or 62T cylinder with stock sleeves?

Not unless you use aftermarket sleeves.
And not with a stock 701 or even 760 head :wavey:

Take in mind I'm fairly new to technical work on skis. So then could it be just a 760 then? It's not a 701 that I'm positive. Never had issues with it so heads never been pulled, but it cant possibly be a stock head. Ski had been built to race years ago so it could have a modified 760 head to bored to 800
hello e30 brethren :usa2:

Right back at you dude :wavey:

like the green turf it looks great

Thanks! Knew right away it would look killer

It is far more likely it's sitting at 754-763cc. Boring to 800 requires aftermarket sleeves - and not just any, very specific ones - and extensive head modification. I don't think boring these cylinders past 771cc was a thing until just a couple of years ago.

Alright that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Now I'm curious

I wouldn't worry about it. Well-built ex-race boats are screamers. Treat it nice and it will treat you nice. Looks great, both of them.

You bet it is haha when it's glass I try and hit full throttle but it gets sketchy. I start pushin almost 50+ but the worx plate does t give it enough stabilization. About to switch back to the jet dynamics plate
