New guy needs advice for his Superjet

I just bought today the hood seal and i install it. Its the one hydroturf gives. I hope its good and wont have any problem.....even though i am worried a little bit if i have done it right....

the originsl one from Yamaha is better than hydroturf?

OEM Yamaha hood seal is best. I think greater yamaha has pretty good deals on OEM seals. I have the watcon seal which is made for an octane but works on a superjet. It was 22 bucks compared to over a 100 for OEM and is much better quality than the hydroturf foam seal

You could try the hydroturf one. It will be fine while your learning to ride but a good hood seal is something that's nice to have.

The yamaha seal goes on the deck. It's not a silly question - some skis are the other way around.

Quick question... I have the dual blidge pump and i want to put the same in the the other pwc that i got (Seadoo RXP-X). I want to ask if water comes in as well from the water outlets to the engine area where the pump is....

Yes, water can travel backwards down that pipe. You need to make sure that the outlet is well above the waterline - the bilge pumps will easily push the water uphill so you don't need to worry about mounting the outlets too high.

The water outlets are between the bondline and the hood. The thing is if i start playing and going underwater will the water go through the water outlets until the pump and stay there or it will it and comes out of the pump to the engine????? Cause if i start doing trick slike barel roles and others then a lot of water will go in? What do you think?????

If the bilges aren't on, water will come in and end up in the hull

Just leave them on while you're riding. If you anchor your ski at all make sure you make them pretty high. My outlets used to be 2 inches above the the bondline and the one time I anchored it out it sunk.

they are on. If you look at the picture that i have you will see them. Its on the left side of the ski. If i leave them on while i am riding and playing will this ruins them or it will be fine????

They'll be fine, I always leave mine on when riding. Sometimes they load up and I have to turn them off and then turn them back on again to get them to pump but for the most part they're on.

Make sure there is a complete loop in the pipe to help prevent that. Mine are on from the moment I get to the lake to the moment I leave - riding or not. The pumps don't care.
