Welcome! I started riding at 17 and I’m still riding at 26 now. I have only had 2 skis and the first one lasted me 6 years of surf abuse. My advice: Ride that ski, learn the basics of riding in the surf, maintenance, and make mistakes on it while you save for a fairly newer 701 superjet. Once you have the newer 701 superjet, you will be more experienced to start building it correctly with aftermarket parts and you will be set from there to do whatever you want with it.

For now: Ride, always flush/rinse the ski after saltwater, and buy a service manual for your ski to start learning some of the maintenance and upkeep. Also, this forum has infinite information as well as misinformation all over, so good luck haha.

Thanks for the information. I will looking to purschase a service manual lol. I’m basically just trying to get the ski running perfect as well as learning about wiring for the ski.

Welcome! I have been riding for 2 full seasons now. Love it! I would do exactly what Ross said. Ride it, learn what you want to do, move up, and build. Have Fun!!!!

Welcome ! I started riding when I was 15 on 550’s until I was 19 then got a SN just like that then graduated to A RN, I’m still hooked and love doing it. Now I’m building an a/m jet ski.. it never stops so be prepared !

Welcome welcome fella, don't forget to check out the ski build ups section, lots of 650 and square nose threads in there. It's probably the easiest way to learn what you want to do and the "what not to do" through the mistakes of others. We all learn what not to do after we have done it, those of us that admit it and document it on here, are only doing it to help y'all out and save you a boat load of time :)
