La ghetto hotel, it was nasty a few years ago. Hopefully with a makeover shes good

Ya no Makai, I have been in some real bad hotels but that one tops them all. Fruit flys came out of the sink every time you used it. Where did they all come from??? LOL And every year we were on that hotel I never once had a door that locked

That crown Vic burnout at 3am was great the last year we were there. 6 foot rubber stripe vertically up our door to our room. Ah, the benefits of first floor. Lol

You cant ever duplicate the fun that was had at that place at any other Hotel ,it kept everybody closer together which allowed more ''Mayhem ''' in a smaller space . and they put up with our Shi% year after year .. , dirt bikes on the beach, barstool races in the parking lot,a different party in every room , i could go on ahhh the memories LOL !, I guess it depends if you glass is half empty or half full .

Yeah the Makai definitely was nasty but has some good memories. I think the Driftwood next door was competing heavily too for the worst hotel on the beach, but you cant beat being able to pull the skis up on the grass by the Makai. It definitely kept people close together which was a blast!

Looking forward to seeing how the Laplaya will work out this year, I like the idea of being able to watch the ride zone from a balcony as opposed to squeezing 5 guys through a window that is most likely blocked by a palm tree in the lower deck.

Both La Playa and Grand Seas are booked full on sat. Had to book a room at Daytona Beach Resort. Forgot how much fees and taxes get added to a room booking..!
