I know youre joking...i hope. But a lot of things

Yamaha got it right for overall freeride fun in 1994. A handful of guys got it right for flatwater freestyle years and years later.

Theres always gonna theoretical better material options for our sport. But unless you can sell 50,000 skis a year youll lose your ass on tooling and r&d alone.

Like when LSU and Tennesee ruined alabama's season this year....wait wrong thread. Sorry BK.
Ouch............ Rub it in just a little more, let me get you some salt and alcohol. Crazy thing, both of those games came to the last play to finalize the win. Missed Kick or failed 2 point conversion and different outcome...... I can take that kind of loss, Not one where you get hammered by 2 touchdowns............. Cannot remember the last time that happened!!!!!!!!!!

Xfr is STILL the best hull

701 it will shred surf. And can flat water flip. And Rec ride all day. Same ride plate.

Someone post pictures of a broken xfr. Or a broken glass rickter at all for that matter. I've only seen a couple

At what price would you pay for a well done Superjet clone? Can 18-22 year olds even assemble a hull anymore? I think the biggest problem with this hobby is that very few stay in long enough to ever know what they want in a hull. Thats why everything is sold with nothing more than a picture and a price tag. Now its more like a vid of the hull doing 50 flips in a row and "call for price". Ronco should be selling them, "Hey look, it flips" buy it and you can flip too!

Agree! Goes with almost every aspect of the sport, regardless of motor, hull, or any other component. Todays Hotshot is tomorrows Donkey.
if you dont have the capital and ideas to keep up, your done. To most of us that have been in this long term, the drive is labor of love,
your not making big bucks off it!
that is so true Paul!! if your still in this business after 20+ years then its defently for the "love" of it...not the $$

Ture, it took me 15 years to figure out what I wanted in a hull

The problem with new hull technology is most here do not want it and most people will not buy it, no one wants to be a guinea pig, people want to buy things they can work on and understand how to repair, lets say you come up with this new surperb hull material, nothing is indestructable. is it fixable if you break it or is it going to be like the Seadoo spark and require hull replacement, how do you fix it, with what materials do you fix it and at what cost, can the average person repair it in their garage or is it going to be something a body spoh or dealer has to repair, is it capaable of being repaired to a point that you cannot see the repair or is it just going to have a Wile E coyote sticker put on it.

I would love to see the number on how many Freeform factory hulklite hulls were actually sold, I loved the concept of that ski but selling your concept to an unwilling public is a risky business at best.

The thread on here for that freeform hull ended up with people complaining that they wouldn't be able to add footholds because of the material. I dont think the guy ever intended to sell many hulls. He wanted to sell the company.

Well he did sell the company didn't he ? I followed that thread for while because I found his concept very interesting, truefully I saw no reason to have the hull seperate in two pieces but that's neither here or there.

If I was making a new hull out of some spage age plastic I would put a removable panel in it, if you want footholds remove the panel and screw them in. Makes sense to me anyway.

Every rider should know how wide they need the bottom to be and where they want the center of gravity. Those are the basic dimensions that determine if the hull will fit the rider. Then figure how much lateral grip and/or dead rise you want for the way you like the ski to turn.
