It doesn't run at 50 degrees. You have to set it to 50 static so that the brain box can work properly. My max timing, per Jetworks, will be 30 degrees.

gotcha-my dumb azz did not think about the controller retarding it 20*.

I gotta say-the more I deal with these ers from Jetworks-the more I like em! Art, Robert, and JWE aka crammit442 have been soooo much help.
Finally got me some of the world's greatest carbs on the way-I will keep u posted. I installed the mani and reeds last night and BJ's should be on the porch w/I get home.

Thats correct, 50 degrees is just a reference point from which the ecu does its calculations, running the engine with that sort of advance may give a problem or two although I did have a customer running over 40 degrees initial advance and the engine seemed happy enough (so he said) but it was backed off abruptly for the torque peak.
