Ok I think it's time I got on here and answered all the queries myself I honestly try and be as available as I can and after reading this you might realise why at times it's hard for me to be on hand at any given moment. Firstly I've apoligized to Matt on many occasions and he will have his hull within a week. QUOTE]

So did the new Predator hull get introduced, maybe this past weekend at the Cronulla Rip'N'Ride?
If so, where's the announcement? Pics?

i know nothing about you , but this statement right here gets the BS flag raised to full mass. NOBODY does it for the sport. you make a profit on the items you sell, just like the rest. you may be helping the peasants IN the sport, by selling a budget product, but you also supplement your main income . your products MAY be helpful, i dont know.

This thread has already been drivin into the ground so lets keep it going.

Your statement makes me sick. You honestly think "NOBODY does it for the sport." sadly for most companies that is true and is anyone curious why our sport isnt growing????? too many people have the same logic as you and that it is all about the money. Companies have enough money to put on events, pay salaries, hire employees but yet cant afford to pay riders with anything except discounts on parts. The sport would be better off with more people like LTD, who truly is not making alot of money on a part and is choosing to help pepole out with the skills he has, and less people like yourself who sit around and talk bad about people who are doing something good even though you said yourself "Your products may be helpful, i dont know" If you dont know, then leave the guy alone and eat poop

Really? This is the same guy.......... You have picked a fine roll model........... But Hey, Maybe he has changed....... But there are plenty of threads where people never got their parts they ordered from him...... Plates, Poles, Bars, etc etc etc........

You also do not seem to have a clue about Business.... The days of big sponsorship are long over. Blame the OEM's When they got the IJSBA to do away with the Pro Mod Class back in 1998 in favor of the Superstock class (Which benefited the OEM's) This all but put companies like PJS, Westcoast, Team Butch, East Coast plus many others out of business. This rule change made it where you were limited on what you could use. OEM hulls had to be used. OEM Cases and Cylinders had to be used........... By 2001/2002, This was the last year of the old National Tour, The last year of the Factory Supported Teams where Kawasaki had 2 semi's at the races, Yamaha had 3 Semi's, you had other teams with heavy factory support with Semi's Beeline Racing, Savage Motorsports.......... The Factories pulled out of racing, so did all of the money.... Now your left with smaller shops that tried to help racers, But the money was not there. Companies in the past few years have started making a comeback, not because of racing, but because of freestyle and freeride..... DASA was all but gone from the PWC Industry. People like Paul Lear, Smitty (Use to post here), A few guys from Canada who use to post, Tricky was still using Lamey cylinders in the mid 2000's. Heck Jason (Tricky) was the first around here to really run them, he was finding them sitting on shelves of old racers and picking them up for a number that would make you sick if I were to repeat. My best friend bought Tera Laho's Backup 98 RIVA Pro Mod SJ that had a Lamey in it. We did not know how to keep it running and the PV's were the old style and constantly had to be cleaned. He traded it for a complete Short black, that motor ended up in Paul Lehrs hands years later... Point being, There is not much money out there for shops to give sponsorships in cash. They will give parts and discounts....... That about it.

There are only a handfull of racers who still could get major deals from the Factories. Farthing, Rius and MacCluggage. Hell, in 2004 I think Farthing was given a smoking deal of a non current STXR. They had to buy it. Years later he got back to a closer level he was use to when the 4 strokes got popular, but there was not Factory Team Support...... Same with Mac..... This site and the members have nothing to do with the industry. Yes, this site has helped many of the builders out to advertise their hulls for free. I do not know if X Scream would be here today if it was not for sites like this. We probably would not be seeing a 1400CC motor...........

IF you wonder why this sport (Or lets just say Freestyle) is not growing, its because most people here do not care about racing...... You are not gonna have a freestyle comp if there are not races. Every year I competed against the same 2-3 guys in Freestyle and raced against just about the same number of guys in Nov Stock and Limited........ IF more people would go to the races, enter races, enter freestyle, who cares if your good, you do it for fun..... Then this sport would grow...........
