Custom/Hybrid New Krash Industries Predator

There is more similarities between the 2 than you realise, the footrocket tray with the extension is the same length as the jb1 the predator now has an extension so its longer than a superjet and if your running the long tailplate on your footrocket it's the exact same length as the JB1 and Predator. Basically I loved my footrocket because of its monoverability and being able to transform it from flatwater one day to surf the next and not feel like I'm making a compromise. The only thing I felt there was something I hadn't done to improve surf handling and that was put the 90 degree rails back on to add to stability and outright 100% surf handling. The Predator is a 100% surf boat small medium and large surf it will run rings around anything else out there in the handling monoverability and stability department.

This statement is my opinion and one that others that have ridden the predator have shared. It is an opinion obviously based on the years I have ridden and designed hulls and been fortunate enough to ride most aftermarket surf hulls on the market. But I encourage you and other riders to get on one and form your own "opinion" it is how the sport grows and the aftermarket industrie progresses.

I can appreciate and respect that description. I just think there are so many variables when it comes to; riding styles, riding conditions, a riders physical size and weight, etc. it just seemed like a brave statement to say that this hull has the best handling, maneuverability, and stability in small, medium, and large surf and will run circles around everything else out there.
I'm not trying to bash, don't get me wrong. I've always been interested in the JB1 and to this day still have not had the chance to try one out. The Predator sounds like a great hull as well and I do look forward to trying them hopefully in Daytona. You obviously have a lot of confidence in your product so hopefully I get the chance to form my own #opinion

Thanks Nick for the explanation,l was not aware you will still selling direct.

And l am excited to try the new Predator hull out! Still loving the Rocket!

Based on the fact that Nick has been riding surf for years and competed at the highest level as well as the fact that Australia's number 1 surf rider Mitch young has been riding a Predator for a few weeks and rates it the best he has ridden I would be taking their opinion pretty seriously KTM

I don't doubt the hull at all but its still just an opinion and I will never buy something based on another persons opinion. Saying your hull will run circles around anything else out there with no details on hull design and why your statement is correct is a sales tactic and not a fact. I am fascinated with hull designs so I'd like to hear details to support his statement. I really wasn't trying to discredit Nick and his product or derail this thread. Like I said, I've ridden the Footrocket and I've always heard great things about the JB-1 from what i consider to be reputable riders but have never had the chance to ride one. The Predator sounds like a great hull too and hopefully I get a chance to try both in Daytona. I have said in other threads that there are few hull builders that I really trust yet Nick is one that I could see buying from due to his surf riding experience and background of hull building. Number5isalive, you are a distributor so any comment you make is intended to protect the product and you're involvement as well. That's why I only base my opinion on my own experience.

Hey Sanoman great to hear your still loving the Rocket! yeh im still going Direct as well i understand an A/M hull is still a large investment and a lot of riders want to talk to the builder plus i like to stay in touch with the community and hear whats going on.
I hear what your saying KTM, people that know me no i never discredit other hull manufactures and that when i make a statement like the above one is because im very passionate about the sport and what im doing and i was probably a bit over excited haha I dont need to make statements like that to sell hulls my hulls have sold so well because they work and do what riders expect them to do.
I agree with what you said above about different riding styles, abilities and physical size so many riders out there buy A/M hulls and just bolt there running gear straight across then spend a lot of the time tuning the engine and not improving the overall setup.
If your anything like me once you get to the beach your that pumped all you want to do is ride not play with setups. The best advise i can give to riders changing to A/M hulls in particular is once you've been ridding your new setup a handful of times spend a session changing the pole lengths, or moving the footholds halfway up the tray, throw a d cut plate on the back or a +2 even the different intakes make a huge difference to loosing or tightening your boat up on the wave. Start to feel what changes it makes because only then will you get 100% of the capability of your new A/M setup. If all the above makes no sense dosnt matter what hull you ride drop me an email i dont mind helping.
Specs i think i put a few pages earlier 200cm long 72cm wide (rail to rail) 55cm high 48kg surf glass. The real specs are on the bottom and the types of things ive done to improve the handling on this hull are:
Ive rolled the tail outside edge up 50mm using a 2 degree radius of a 7'2 big wave surfboard.
The rails have also been rolled up to suit.
I went from 3 degrees draft in the tail to 10 back to 3 around the middle.
I added a new style of tail plate system from the footrocket to improve adjustability for all conditions of surf small medium and big.
All of these improvements are to increase balance and handling when your in the surf and a lot of R&D goes in to the hulls to maximize improvements. I know your not having a bash i guess some people make statements to sell things i was just giving my opinion based on the above take it or leave it.
I hope to be at Daytona this year so come grab me and ill get you on one of these things finally ;)
