new layout

please put the "site navigation" and "upcoming events" back where they were - there's a whole "dead" column on the left side of my screen because of them.

I haven't noticed any layout changes, except for the home page. Last time I visited that page was a few months back.

That looks a little less clutter f-ed, but otherwise I don't notice any difference. I can't see a scroll bar on the bottom of the page.

My browser is firefox 3.0.11 running on Linux.

how about - move it back to what it was yesterday.

I liked having the random pictures at the top.

on the side - it creates a huge dead space all the way down the page on both the main forum page and when you click on an individual forum.

"if it ain't broke, don't fix it" --- if I went by that, then we'd be using the default theme with zero mods/hacks installed and it would be a very boring site to look at. You wouldn't have any cool smileys, no 'live topic' updates, etc etc. We'd also still be on a crappy host with poor performance.

If I don't try stuff, then we'll stagnate.

BTW, I'm not done with the column, it's going to be small and only one a couple of pages. I'm trying to size it so it fits what's on the forum index and search pages.
