New money pit.

With helping my dad putting a street bike / GSXR 600 swap together in a banshee , then him picking up a really clean oem banshee and helping him do the basic mods, I've been also riding my cr500 every weekend and going back to my roots of dirt and dune riding had a awesome weekend riding both of banshees at the dunes with my dad and it fueled me to get my own quad to build.

I have wanted a 250r for about ten years a couple of good buddies of mine (also my jetski friends) have been getting into them and one of them had a backup and he decided to sell it to me all orginal 1986 honda 250r for a good deal not molested, I have owned the quad for 4 days and I've already spent nearly a grand just on bolt ons and wear items, she's gonna turn into a money pit this summer I can already tell.

Pull that stock plastic and put it in a safe place. They're real easy to spend a ton of $ on, I was just going to build mine as a stock ish woods bike and now it's a race gas 310 lol

I don't know why, But i've really been wanting to build a old Yamaha Tri-Z 250 three wheeler, put some flat tracks on it and go hurt myself.... oddly enough.. used to have 2 of them. One for parts lol

I always wanted a Tecate 4, I'm sure they're a nightmare to find parts for now though.

I can only imagine what a cr500 is like....I had a cr250 for a while and that was almost suicide for me
The 20 yr old kid that is my fastest competition iceracing has 2 heavily nodded 5hundys to choose from. The fastest is a ported, rebuilt as I just bored it for him, with a interchangeable dome head on race gas, jeez its fast. My 500/610cc FI KTM is just as fast when my mapping is perfect, of course his motor is 20 years older, but I am 30 years older!!!!

Finding parts was a nightmare 15 yrs ago when I owned one for a short period after telling myself "I always wanted a Tecate 4" . I couldn't imagine finding parts now. It sure did look cool though.

That is a factory Honda built motor. Stroked, Balanced, bored, ported. Lots. With a 25 shot of nitrous. And I ran a cpi pipe. It's a strong motor..
