New noise/vibration/twang... help me find it

A couple months ago I had a vibration that I finally chased down, it ended up being that I put the bendix washer on the wrong side of the bendix... I solved that, but now I have a different one.

The noise, that for the purposes of this discussion I will call the "twang", sounds like it is coming from the front of the engine... The noise sounds very similar to my bendix washer problem from before, but I know that is not it this time.

I had just re assembled my ski on saturday. On the hose before riding I didn't hear the twang, but after sunday's ride, it is very loud and apparent. I can't really hear it at idle, but when reving it up, you can hear very clearly.

- I have pulled the front cover, everything inside looks great
- Plenty of clearance under the chamber, I can fit my whole index finger under it
- Kenny keepers are not touching the bed plates

I am at a loss. I have looked for loose bolts, random junk in the engine compartment.

Here are my three last guesses

- Loose baffle inside the waterbox
- Loose single baffle at the end of the b-pipe chamber
- Bad crank bearing

What do you all think? Anything else I should check before I rip it all apart again for the freakin 15th time this year? I am so tired of pulling my battery box and gas tank.

Check for cables(throttle/steering). They make terrible noises when they vibrate against the hull. Same thing for fuel and cooling lines and filters.
