New to the scene i bought a ski from a dude on here about three months ago and rebuilt everything on it..it was basically a basket case but im glad i got what i did because it forced me to learn and figure out alot of things on them.. it was a 440 also then i got another hull for free and transfered everything into it since it had a fresh paint job on it.
I'm also on pwctoday (hope this is the right section if not can a moderator move me to the correct area)
but i came up on another opportunity and here's the story.
Well i got a sick deal from a dude who owns a boat shop near my shop, and he has had two pretty cool looking ski's just sitting there for about three months now, and after awhile i figured they wernt there for repair and asked him whats up with them, and he said a buddy gave em to him for free and to give me 1000 bucks i more or less laughed and walked away. but with me being the annoying individual that i am i stayed persistant in asking him to lower the price and i got him to 800, then 750, then 500, and said how about i help you out with some side projects that you have and il help you weld up these support beams that you got and il give ya 200. for it all. and the tagspn there are expired yes. the dude registered them non op so i just have to re register them and pick up where they left off from 99 no big deal, it will just be like registering anything else not anymore expensive.
and this is what i got.
came with the little trailer which is nothing special its kinda rusted here and there but i will replace some of the support rails on it tomorrow when i can a free chance.
the 440 is on the left and its got more hop ups then the 550 but nicely done..
For starters its got a
steering pole with a finger throttle
quick steer billet plate
k&n intake
west coast blue pipe
west coast water box
16.5 pitch prop
westcoast ride plate
west coast intake grate no scoop.
exhaust has been patched from the typical snorkel upper canopy left side exit to the 550 style lower right side exit,
has an additional electric bilge pump
and i believe thats its. for that one
And the 550 has
a steering pole as well with a finger throttle, and a sick ocean pro ride plate with some extra fins on the underside..its missing a little chunk where a piece broke off but i can fill it in at work with my new cobra
so excited about that machine.. any who.
has a west coast intake grate as well no scoop... and
gosh there was so much on them i can remember it all. but if i remember anything else i add it but now for the pictures. !! its just cell phone quality so
and one more thing what would you guys ball park i could sell these things for. or part em out for.
