New Smyrna Beach launch zone hours?

On the Volusia County website it says the launch zone is only active 9am - 5pm on weekends and holidays.

Does that mean you can never launch from any beach in NSB outside those hours? So if there's a good swell and you wanna take a weekday off you have to find a ramp somewhere then ride all the way around?

That's right. Strongly recommend you go to the North side ( where the light tower is) of Ponce inlet. There is a (free) public boat ramp. A short no wake zone trip from there will take you to the inlet. Nice swells there usually. There is a parking lot diagonally across from the ramp. Also, when taking the road to get there, observe speed limit. I've often observed "radar enforcement" there.

And strongly suggest never riding Ponce' Inlet alone, very dangerous fast moving tides like river rapids there at times. Tow rope and friend with quality parts ski preferred or don't go imo.
