new spark plug leads.

My plug leads are dodgy. resistance measures all over the place when I bend or wiggle them so im going to replace them.
My question is what type of lead is the go when replacing them regarding core type?
should I use silicone leads with a stainless steel or copper conductor which is a very low resistance or the carbon or graphite type core which measures several k-ohms.
Just interested to know what people normally use and what effect it might have.

cheers!

I would suggest asking the folks at jetskisolutions.com. They have likely seen everything with their replacement service for plug wires/boots, coils.

I can replace the leads and test the coil etc myself but there are wildly different resistance measurements per metre between the 2 different types of plug wire.
I know the factory leads measure several k-ohms so i'm guessing they're carbon core type but am interested to know what type of lead gets used when replacing them or if it will even make a difference, i.e. does the coil require high resistance leads to work correctly or will the spiral wound wire core leads work just as well.
