NEW SUPERJET OR BUY MODDED USED

okay i been riding the 300sx over the summer and love it more than anything. starting getting pretty good with control and ready to move to a superjet. i dont know if i should buy a used one that is all modded for half the price or buy new and keep stock and maybe mod it down the road. I would like to do flips and barrel rolls eventually in the bay. just from hitting wakes. overall i want to have a great time and have fun. need some opinions

The only factor to consider is cost.

New will be maintence free for a while.
Used stock or used mod will be cheaper but condition varies.

Such applies to all things used, wether you choose oem or aftermarket hulls and setups.

Generally, it's best to buy the best condition you can afford, otherwise you will just be dealing with someone else's crap.

yeah i could afford new but if everything is done already on like a 1997 or 2001 should i do that. but then i have to worry about something breaking but it is fraction of cost and already has power to do flips and all. but could a new one do all those tricks too

You're expecting to do flips with just a modded superjet and you're coming from a 300sx? I love your ambition but it's gonna take a while before you even think about doing a flip. Plus, a modded limited stocker or even a big bore/high performance engine won't be able to easily do a backflip unless it's off of a big wave, vwake, or possibly a huge wakeboard wake if you're lucky. I'd second what vumad said.

Ya hate to shoot your dreams down but your not grasping the reality of how damn hard it is to actually do. Even off a massive, perfect wake like the boats in the bay toss. We have a friend that's done it on a limited setup but he's a damn beast. Should be out on the pro tours! And honestly you can't go wrong with new nor a nice used ski. I personally hate used because everytime I got used I inherited the last guys secret headaches.

My daughter 6 rides a 300sx. Yikes even a beat stocker sj will feel like a race boat vs the 300. Get some time on a larger boat and then start down the road to a back flip. May the force be with you.

I definitly appreciate the tips, i know im gunna need alot of time on the water to do what I want. but i want to just get a ski that will be able to do what i want instead of having to resell then buy another down the road. some guy is selling a 650sx for 2500 and i got him down to 2100. bilge pump doesnt work. its a good looking ski but who knows whats wrong with it. used skis scare me based off reviews. it has foothold. the one trick i really want to do is a barrel roll off a wake. im pretty much between that or a new superjet. i obviously love having fun as does everyone. i can jump pretty damn high with my 300sx suprisingly i tuned it up a little bit and got some mods. more advice would help cause im buying a ski wendsday

Don't do it, don't waste your money on a 650sx. It's a turd if your going to spend that kinda money. You can get a 90-95 Superjet with mods for that..

alright sweet you literally just persuaded me in that sentence. i never knew how they rode. should i just do a new one? its mad hard finding one right now thats cheap enough, if i do new ima finance it.

There are a ton out there not sure where you located or you budget. But again you can get a nice 90-95 superjet for that kinda money and learn some basic tricks and will be a fun ski for a beginner..
