New tax rules for selling thru paypal, zelle, venmo.

Prob has most of his property in a trust. As a beneficiary of a trust they can't really go after the property because you don't own it...the trust does

Not gonna keep him out of jail though

Surprising things that are considered taxable by the IRS :

1. Social Security income , if you have substantial other income sources
2. Alimony , if you pay it you can deduct it if you receive it ,it counts as income
3. Alaska permanent fund dividends , Alaska has no income tax but it counts on Federal income tax
4. Bribes , if you accept a bribe the IRS expects you to count. it as income, good luck on that on one
5. Canceled debts, if you have a debt forgiven it counts as income and usually you will get a form in the mail concerning this.
6. Income from illegal activities, pimps and drug dealers beware
7. Gambling winnings and losses, most already know this but if you have gambling losses in the same year you can offset them.
8. Bartering, if you swap parts here you are expected to put a specific value on the parts swapped and received, again good luck on that one
9. Stolen or found property, you are expected to report the value of it, yeh again good luck
10. Free tours and trips, you are expected to include the value of those as income , yeah right
11. Jury duty pay is considered income, I wonder if you can offset the loss you got from missing work while on jury duty, seems fair to me
12. Kickbacks , side commissions or similar payments , got you palm greased , pay up sucka
13. Strike and unemployment benefits, yep you are broke and out of work but the taxes keep on coming

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission on Monday barred TurboTax maker Intuit from advertising or marketing services as "free" when many consumers were in fact ineligible, saying the company had engaged in deceptive practices.

The maker of the popular TurboTax tax filing software said it would immediately appeal the decision. "We believe that when the matter ultimately returns to a neutral body we will prevail," it said, adding: "there is no monetary penalty in the FTC’s order, and Intuit expects no significant impact to its business.

Now I have to ask this , is it just a coincidence that the IRS unveiled its new online tax filing system last week , if it looks like fish and smells like fish , it's usually fish.

The federal government has been making loan payments with more loans since 1982. Nobody else, states included, can do this for very long. The sales tax aspect makes sense because that goes to states. Federal 1099s are much more egregious. They are basically adding taxes to the poor while leaving the very wealthy alone alone with their token 15% capitol gains tax. This will never change without poor folks being very assertive, which means it will never change.
You guys only pay 15% capitol gains tax?? Are we ever getting screwed up here in Canada. Our old rate was 50% and it's set to increase on the 25th of this month to 66.7% It's no wonder why we don't have any good production industry up here anymore. This is going to absolutely ruin what's left. It'll drive out any real remaining industries and probably close the doors on the rest. I can see a lot of businesses leaving to other countries after this month.
