Gearheart has vehicle beach access...Del Ray Beach and Sunset Beach off hwy 101 just north of seaside a couple miles...I don't think anyone goes there much but it would be a good place to go if the surf is too big for some people at pac city...it is generally smaller surf there, so maybe a winter time spot to go...Also cullaby lake across hwy 101 from sunset beach is a fresh water motorized allowed lake you can flush out if you want..
i live near riley and stu also...Beaverton...

Thanks for the great info. What do you guys recommend for riding gear? Wetsuit type and thickness? Good places to purchase? I have an older Jetpilot suit that I need to replace.

I wear a shoie motocross helmet, rip curl 3-4 wetsuit, USCG approved life vest, neoprene socks, hightop shoes, and gloves. Shin guards are nice to have too.
