I just bought my Superjet a couple of weeks ago and have ridden 40 hours in about 2 or 3 weeks. I caught on pretty quick and just bought some footgholds from blowsion. I have a ride plate that came pn the ski when I bought it and was wondering if I can cut the plate even with the back of the ski so the jet sticks out a little further than the ride plate. I want a new jet or whatever its called but I cant find them. Any help?

Are you one of the guys coming to Tobesofkee? Welcome to the x.

You can cut your ride plate. Some people do what is called a d-cut to get the nose to ride higher but this is mostly for surf. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish by cutting the rideplate. Not sure what you mean by wanting a new jet either. There are a ton of threads you can find by searching whatever it is you are thinking of doing. Why don't you list the details of your ski and let us know what you are looking to improve with mods.

yeah im one of the ones at Tobo. Im the one that has the blue 2000 Superjet with the paint chipping on the tank. Im wanting to keep the hull stock but just add a little extra stuff like footholds and paint job and some graphics. I was talking to that guy, cant remember his name but he has the blue and lime green ski that rides with yall, and his prop or jet or whatever its called sticks off the jetski about 4 or 5 inches which I thought added a little bit more gitty-up after the ski lands back in the water. Are you the one with the black ski with white graphics?

We'll help you out with mods. I have a cut rideplate you can try out and see if you like it but I have more pop because I have a lighter hull, tons more power, and various other mods that help out with that. Work your way up slowly or you'll be so broke you can't afford gas.

Yep. That's me.

Here is some info for you: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/25487-First-Mods-for-your-New-Superjet&highlight=superjet+first+mods

Don't reinforce it though. It is more for surf and will add a ton of weight.

John's ski has more gitty up because it is a lightweight hull with a big ported motor and big carbs and total loss ignition and a b-pipe, not because his pump sticks out more than yours. His is like that because of the way his hull is shortened compared to yours.

Okay, yeah that'd be good. And I'm trying to make it the best I can get it without dropping to much money in it right now, but I'd def like to try that plate. We'll be out there Sunday about 1 all day.
