New to the X

Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm totally pumped to finally join this site.
My name is James and I'm from a small town in Michigan. Grew up ridin standups at our farms gravel pit. Had a passion for them ever since. Unfortunately I sold my ski last year and I regret ever second of it. Lol I've been really interested in the freestyle portion of the standup world now. Can't wait to take on my first build. Hopefully I can meet some of you guys from Michigan and get started in the freestyle world. Looking forward to being a part of the X.
Thanks,
James

Welcome to the forum!

If you're in western Michigan, the Dells Freeride in two weeks in Wisconsin wouldnt be too far of a drive and would be a great place to find skis, learn skis, ride skis, and do all things skis.

I'm from the eastern side of the state. But I am laid up right now due to a farming injury. So maybe I'll have some time to make it to the free ride and meet all of you and see what the freestyle is all about.
I know I want to do flat water more than anything. So I'm unsure if building a used ski will take the abuse of a beginner or if I should just save my pennies for a AM. It would be nice to meet some of you and see these AM hulls in person.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcoming

We produce the BAM ski and have a few of them ready to ride out in the algonac area. Whenever you get ready to ride again, you can come out to our place and rip around on ours if you're looking for a nice light weight ski to start riding on.

Thank you CrazyJoe, I will have to take you up on that offer seeing I'm only an hour from Algonac. Excited to start seeing this skis in person and how much goes into a AM build.
