Other new to this

Ok my name is james and im from Coarsegold CA and i have a 95 Kraze wet jet jet ski. it has the 700 cc engine and from what i can tell its all stock. I picked it up for 600 and was told it runs great tell u get past half throttle. put it in the water and it would choke out after half. i know there are some bad lines and i know the fuel lines r bad but i cant get to them so my biggest question is will i have to pull the engine out to replace the lines cause i dont see any easy place or way to do it besides that. this is my first ski but i do know how engines work haha. been building cars for 5 years now but dont wanna mess it up or go in to deep but i would like it running right for summer which is right around the the block. I am not sure if this is even in the right spot but any help would be great please. i can add more info if need be. i also changed the fuel filter and still did it

Hey james, well I would definitly say go through all the line including your fuel selector switch I had the same issues with a kawi awhile back and the selector switch ended up being my issue.
I dont think you are going to find to many people here though that know much of anything on your ski (could be wrong) this is a primarily stand up ski forum. Good luck though

You shouldn't have to pull the engine to replace fuel lines. While you are replacing the fuel lines though make sure rebuild or at least clean out the carb. Wet Jets are indeed rare skis these days. Post over at PWCToday.com you will get a way better response.

It is a 701cc motor in that ski guys. Same as most of your superjets. Jeez offer the guy some help.

1)Remove the throttle cable and choke cable. 2 10mm nuts on each cable, just loosen and slide the cables off.
2)Remove the carb. 2 12mm nuts on the base of the carb.
3) clean the carb. There are two sides to it, one is the jet side and the other is the fuel pump side. the fuel pump side has a small mesh filter inside it that gets clogged up. The other side has two jets (pilot, main) that need to be removed and inspected for blockages. They are underneath the pork chop shaped metal piece thats held down by two phillips head screws.

A manual will help you with this, I believe you can find some of the info from the manual online. Have to search for it though.

It also may have the sought after intake manifold with reed stuffers and a 46mm carb. Not all the krazes came with that though.

did you ask how long it was sitting for. we re they running it before you bought it, carbs could be plugged up if it was sitting for a long time

cheap solutions first replace gas if it was in ski for a few years, replace plugs, unscrew the spark plug boot and cut back the ignition wires a 1/4 in ch or so and screw them back in good tight note hold wire with one hand and unscrew the boot from wire

if you pull that carb off be careful and try not to wreck those gaskets.. you will have a very difficult time trying to find the correct gaskets for that carb. i am running that carb and intake setup on my ski and had some troubles finding the right gaskets for it. the carb and intake setup on that ski has bigger spacing inbetween the studds compared to the stock ones.

Ok thanks you for all of the advice. It had been sitting for almost 4 years before I bought it. Thank god there was no gas in it but there was 2 stroke in the one tank.. I will buy a carb kit and rebuild it and I will be careful with those gaskets. My other question is on all my dirt bikes and quads that had the oil mixer set up like the ski's do, but is there any way were I could cap it off and just mix my gas or do I have to keep that set up.. I will also get plugs and all of that too. Thanks again for all your guy's help and I will try what has all been said and let you all know how it goes. I tried the PWCToday.com site and wouldnt load..

Ok thanks. My other question is I am having a hard time trying to get to the fuel lines on the tank. My arm wont fit lol. Is there an easier way to do so cause I tried all I could and no luck. And thank you everyone for the help and it all has been very use full.
