Other New to x help me decide what ski to build

Oh you'll spend ten grand. just wait and see :jester: Somehow or another you'll end up dropping way more into this hobby than you think. either repairs, or mods, or an AM hull. It will cost you, like it has costed us all. Unless you are one of those guys who buys a stock ski and rides it 4-5 times a year, but you don't strike me as that type of guy.

Lol yes I'm sure I will!! I already have!! Like I said in the first post I own and operate a small PWC ATV Snowmobile repair shop. Not only is it my hobby/passion what I went to school for (MMI Orlando) but also how I make a living! Unfortunately in my area of the state/country 99% of what I work on and or buy to part out or fix and sell are couches. Seems difficult in my area to find as good of deals on nice stand ups! Whenever I do they are gone before I can snag it!

As far as riding a few times a year goes I am at the lake every day or two testing and tuning or breaking in new motor jobs. I plan on taking my stand up with me any chance I get!!

Also My wife and I camp at a friends private beach on Lake Michigan a bunch during the summer and bring our skis so ill ride then

Sounds like you're living the dream my man. Im jealous

Don't be too jealous lol! I still have to work another job.....for now at least..... I ran my shop full time for 2 years but the winters are slow! so for now I run my shop and work construction too. Hopefully in a couple years It will turn into something more!! I absolutely hate construction

ha ha ya I worked construction for a while too. I couldn't stand being outside in the winter so I became a machinist. You should think about getting into machining. It could compliment your skills in your shop. Better money (at least in Colorado it is), and climate controlled working environment :)
