OK...Here it is.
I've worked for weeks perfecting this. Unwilling to pay the high price that the Maekawa up trim costs. I've designed up my own. I've machined up the prototype and the CNC shop is in progress.
It took me a little while to perfect but now I've finally got it.
The pictures show it installed on my X2. From the neutral position I get full up trim to the point where the nozzle almost touches the hull. This is even with the back chopped 1.75" and the pump set back 2". I could even get a little more if I wanted with a little more hull hacking.
I'm still sourcing a good cable and lever combo for it. Any BMX Left side brake lever will do the trick.
I'm doing a limited production run and am initially giving the option of purchasing the trim unit only without the lever or cable. I figure some some of you might want to find a lever of your own.
The trim units will be ready in a week and about 2 with a lever and cable setup however it will be about $50 more.
The trim lever alone is $250 made from billet 6061-T6 aluminum and stainless hardware. The production unit will look much better than the prototype and not have the gash in the base where the prototype jumped out of the chuck.
Contact me with any questions. You can email me at larmourx2@hotmail.com or PM me. If you want to ensure you get one you can send payment plus $17 shipping to the same email address via paypal or contact me for my address to send a money order.
