haha well I need to get out the lake sometime soon and check out some setups. Also, where are some good places in the dfw to go through a boating education course?

i only said to get somethin cheap because he said hes never ridden a jet ski before.. all my buddies who i tried to get into riding cant even ride my superjet. personally i would prefer to learn first and see if i like it before i just drop $2000 on something i might not even like. i think every one learned on an old SX or JS so why not start cheap and get the feel for how the sport is.

I think we understand your point, but I'd still say skip wasting money on an old Kawi and just buy a superjet.

As for friends that can't ride standups, I know exactly what you mean. It's funny, there seems to be a difference in passion levels between certain individuals. I know when myself and most of my friends (that now own and ride) started to learn how to ride we would ride and fall until we couldn't do it anymore that day. I was determined to learn and never stopped trying until I got it down. I do have some friends though that just lack the passion (for lack of a better term) to get out there and beat the snot out of themselves to learn how to ride. They tried once, failed miserably, and never tried again. It almost seems like it takes a certain personality to love and ride standups.

Anyways, buy a superjet and never look back.

Hopefully the passion I have from my other hobbies will transfer to this once I pick up a ski. I used to ride bmx bikes and I would be out for hours practicing tricks till I landed them. Same thing when I went to 4 wheelers and then Motorcycles. The motorcycles are the only one I still do only because before I couldn't afford more then one hobby lol. Hopefully next friday I will have enough set aside to find me a ski. If I don't find one by then I guess I will just keep setting money aside till I find a deal on one I like. It seems a lot of them I am finding on craigslist in my area are a bit overpriced

I saw that one the other day on craigslist. I wouldnt mind buying that one if I had the cash but I am only able to set aside $400-$500 a week toward my ski fund. lol and I just started saving last week. Thanks for the link though. I have been debating whether to just buy a SN since it would be cheaper or to save the extra cash and buy a RN

Well thats awesome hopefully now i will have people to ride with. Im on a local ducati forum and the group has pretty much fallen apart. There have only been 2 planned rides since the weather has been warm this year. This past weekend we even had a big bbq pool party and only 3 forum members showed. It used to be 40 people that would show up to the bbq's

Dragginblazer, Swapmeet, and myself are on a local mini truck forum, the same thing is happening with it too. The three of us have lost a lot of interest in the mini truck scene and now spend a large portion of our weekend time at the lake.

Alright cool, my number is 8178081187. Shoot me a text so I have someone to call in case I get lost. At least this will give me a chance to check out some setups before I buy.
