As those of you that were there on Sat are aware I spent all day on the beach wrenching on two dead octanes.

the red one was a combination of a dead battery and some minor water ingestion. easy fix once we got back to doc's place.

the star boat ( the one I usually ride ) started the day strong but ended up being almost entirely dismantled before lunch time. In the end, we never did figure out what the hell was wrong with it. well I got it home thinking the bendix was crapped out again, so I pulled of the FW and found my problem.

all that work I did over a $.60 part and what could have been a pretty quick fix. :261:

Glad you found out that was all it was. Chris (jetmaniac) should have a SJ gas tank you can put back in in.
Go ahead & order all 4 new head O-rings for the red one also. That sealant we rigged it with won't last very long. The stock head setup on those skis is waaaay more complicated than it ever had to be. :chairshot: Friggin octards

my boat is "sorta" ready now. Engine is rocking. I just ave a tiny little issue with the pole Scott gave me to try. something that will require a drill bit to fix. Can't do it till I get an "OK" from the owner.

red boat...it runs. I got new cooling lines and flussed all the sand. I'tll be ok for my boy till o-rings come.
