Next time your mad about wrenching on your ski...

It could always be worse. Doing a track change on the loaner sled. This is worse than fighting a b pipe coupler or getting a stuck prop off!

I know that feeling, although on a smaller scale, here is what my Sno Scoot looked like during track change...

My machine is in a similar state of disassembly........ I'm in the process of replacing the steering post, and all the rod ends in the front suspension on my '02 Polaris. Then I need to revalve/rebuild all my shocks. It's a never ending battle it seems.

I long tracked my 03 800 Summit in about 6 hrs including swapping rails, sliders, track and extending the tunnel. Went from a 144" x 15" x 2" to 151"x 16" x 2.25". I even found time to install a set of extrovert drivers in there somewhere.

Having all the right tools, (and beer), makes a job go so much smoother. :bigok:

P.S. I don't miss my sleds either. Year round surf was definitely a worthwhile trade off.

I love the snow too much to give up my sled and being a trail burner I don't break stuff like the off trail guys. A bit preventive maintenence keeps the machine pretty bulletproof.

I'm really thinking about selling mine after this season... nice when there's actually snow on the ground... but for what i have stuck into it, i can't seem to justify riding it 5 times a year and driving 400 miles to do so... just something else taking up space it seems, i love ridin but just doesn't seem logical anymore...

Sleds are awesome bonus toys. You can't use them much but when you do they rock!
and changing a track is a chore but so are dry pipes.

They are fun toys, but too much maintainance for me so I sold mine years ago.
Motorcycle iceracing for me, way less work and parts and for me the track is 5 minutes out my back door!IMG_00000053.pngIMG_00000054.png
