Surfriding NJ Surf/Freeride

Its funny yous all say that about trying to get a surf event together on the eastcoast. A few friends and I which you know most of us, were planning on putting a big post up on the x for one weekend where we will set a date for everyone to come to.corson. Were are going to set up a tent, have food drink, etc. and see if we can get more people to come to corson

Corsons is nice but not for spectating. The ramp is far from the riding area, relatively speaking vs launching right off of the beach. It would be nice to get an event in NJ where we can launch off the beach, this would probably draw a larger crowd of riders/spectators.

I'd be down for a surf ride this summer. Currently I only ride in the bay off lavallette and in greenwood lake. Anybody who is in north jersey may be able to drop in at the north end of LBI just to the west of Barnegat light house. I was looking to see if it would be possible to drop in at island beach state park which is just south of seaside, but i don't think you can. unless they let you just use a cart.

Not being a dick back im just asking, where else could you launch and all in nj? Iv honestly never rode anywhere else in my life other than corsons. If anyone could come up with an idea thatd be great fellas ! Lets make it happen boys

I've ridden over 13 different surf spots in NJ, but only 2-3 that I would ever try to have a sizable ride at. During the memoral-labor day summer months... BL inlet, Corsons, Hereford Inlet, and Brigantine (with 4x4 permit!) are the best options.

It would be very cool to have a big jersey ride. I still would like to make my way out to bl or brig to see what its all about. I ride corsons just about every weekend.

i want to check this brigantine scene out now. another idea, if you surf you know about this spot, the chicken shoals between capmay and lewis de. it rips HUGE, a support couch or boat might be needed but it gets wild looking. i would say go from the lewis side and cruize out in a pack and start filming.

Where is this? The hen & chicken shoals I know/heard about is east of cape henlopen, nowhere really near cape may. I've never heard that it breaks all that often or like that either. Are we talking the same spots? Does it compare to the shoals outside OCMD?

Another issue would be launching anywhere around that area, no direct ramps or parking.

yes same spot, off of hen, but you can see them from both capemay point and the park. they are i think closer to henlopen though. ive seen them ripping ginormous big from the park. it just would make for a sick vid/day/ride. boats would need to be involved though, its a long swim back to shore. just an idea.

not quite sure of where you're talking about, but I've got a 23' boat, a couch, and the blaster, so I'm down for whenever you guys want to ride CM area (I think I'm the closest here). And this year, I want to try and catch up with the corsons/brig crews a lot more. I ride occasionally out of corsons (launch out of scum isle behind strathmere at a pretty lightly used ramp where there's plenty of parking and a 10 minute ride to corsons).

maybe I can get one of you guys to convince me to try a FX-1 or a RN/SN too... I've got a bunch of guys that I work with that really want to buy skis this year too and ride after I let them try my blaster/gp last year.
