Went to go fire up the new ski for the first time to find out there is no spark, it has a brand new battery and we even tried it while on the charger. Is there a power switch on the ignition? Or any ideas?

Yes, there is an on/off switch. Take a look at the MSD manual, available on their site. Or talk to whoever installed it.

MAKE sure s4 is off. and the purple wire is your switched power. try and spin the motor over by hand the way it is now and watch the led on the side of the box. if it lights up then the s4 switch is on and you need to switch it off and it should spark.

If the MSd detects a fault the light will blink also so you cant always go on the light....

I just had a Brand new MSd not work (Would spark for the first 2-3 revolutions and then no spark, sent it back and MSD said it was fine... I call BS because I took my spare and it worked so that confirms all my connects

josh, i've been fighting with tem's. they've had some issues. ski ran perfect when i set it up and left. they took it to the lake and it died. went back over yesterday. got it running again. started it like 15 times. i left and it didn't start.

what i was saying with the light is it should light up when you spin it by hand when the magnet crosses over the pick up. not just blinking.

got something wrong for sure.when the magnet on the flywheel passes by the pick up,the led on the brain should illuminate.before you go pulling the front cover, just double check all the wires which are all accessible.make sure purple and red have AT LEAST 12V.AND make sure ground wires are good. make sure conections from brain to coil are secure, but if the led is not illuminating,i wouldnt even worry about the coil yet.

Those install instructions should have the switch layout because that's how you set it up. Page 5

dude, you defintely have your switches jacked up.
TXT me six one five five hundred four seven two one about 6pm and I will give you a run down or a pick of how switches should be set.
Also, if you have no toggle switch or some sort of on off switch running to the purple wire coming out of the brain then it will not funtion, unless the purple is straight to red (power) then you will be powered up at all times on the brain and that is not good.
