They do sell a drop in OEM harness for under $100 that replaces everything but the plastic shell. If you had multiple issues with your harness/connectors/buttons, I would recommend that route but if it's in good overall shape and just needs the pins cleaned and re-greased, I would give that a try before I spent the money.

Here's a good thread from the Tech section in how to clean up your switch.

If you wish to replace it, here's the info on the harness;

Jetmaniac has the best pricing on the start/stop assemblies if you go that route.

I went to clean out my stop start switch and stretch out the spring and after messing with it ahwile figured out the lanyard clip I was using was about 1/16" thinner than the one on my spare switch and that was enough to hold the stop down. I think it was a kawi lanyard. Anyways my switch was good, Im ready for the water now and learned a lot today

Or shear your woodruff key. Ask me how i know!!
In case anyone cares to hear some wild stuff.. I sheared a woodruff key on my old 650sx and while I had it idling in the water with me and a buddy holding it, it would idle on one sometimes two cylinders it seems and then without shutting off it ran in reverse, yes in reverse lol and then back into forward drive again haha I didn't know the Kawis had a gearbox

single spark when you let go the start button can be from three reasons:
1.pulser coil not connected\not good. you can check impedance at the ebox to be sure. and double check wires connections.
2.bad flywheel magnets.
3.bad cdi\not installed properly.

the oem cdi can work without pulser coil! so if you swap to the original one and get spark it doesn't mean that the msd is bad.
ask me how i know? i replaced 3 month old msd with new one because i checked like that. finally it was the pulser coil wire disconnected from the coil on the stator and still i had park with the oem cdi.
