DUAL HOOD STRAPS (hood will never come off) on each side of the hood.

...and a RuleMate 1100 Automatic bilge. (won't kill your battery, only comes on when there is water in your ski, can't forget to turn it on, etc etc etc...) The Perfect bilge pump.

SXR's come with Polystyrene nose foam..maybe get the SXR nose foam and mod it?

Really? I have had full coverage on my SJ Since 1999.
must be bone stock. first thing they ask is, are there any aftermarket modifications made. that excludes 99% of us. you might be grandfathered in thou :lmao: kidding...

i could get property damage and personal protection but who cares about that. i want it to cover my ski if it sinks or some jack ass rear ends me. who do you have coverage from and what does it cover is the real question? i did read you had full coverage but that isnt gonna cover a dime over street value. you will be lucky to buy another ski and a b pipe when its said and done. now i have found a little hope in insurance with a few people that cover stuff that has personal value. but. BUT you have to provide proof of all expenses explaining why its worth that. (i wanted 10k on my rn and thats about what it would cost to build it from scratch) the coverage was so high i would rather tuff it out and start from scratch.

sorry for the thread jack...

Far from Stock. Full Freestyle Setup. Not talking about full own back flip arm wrenching monster.

But here is the kicker, yeah, it is basically based on a OEM Ski. But have you priced up OEM Parts? Hulls. If hull is damaged beyond repair. Price up a new hull from Yamaha. Minus deductable and depreciation I can still get another hull. If motor is trashed, price up new engine. You still come out to the good. I dont use a chitty insurance company. I use the same company that has had our cars, houses etc etc since 1994. They have always taken care of me. I had a Mountain Bike stolen from my carport, unlocked and in the open. Got a replacement estimate from local shop. Turned it in. While waiting on the check the bike was recovered. Contacted Ins. Co. and instructed them to stop the check. They were paying the estimate minus deductable. So, I am not concerned. Ins is with ALFA.

Thanks for all the great ideas! The water bottles make alot of sense. Cheap and easy to find in lots of shapes and sizes. I'm thinking I could really fit ALOT in the nose and keep them secured with some of the large electrical zip ties. Thanks Sir Slutty for helping to keep a Waterlogged Factoryski a float!

I just managed to stuff 30 water bottles the 16.9 fl oz ones. After basically sinking the ski last week im not taking any chance, I can easily for 2 2L bottles and might do that. Did rough calculations and 30 16.9 bottles = 65 lbs of flotation. Piece of junk shouldnt sink now

You guys are going to nose the ski into the bottom of the ocean bust it open then the beach is going to become littered with plastic bottles.

LOL good idea though.

That will be great ,just tie a line to one of the bottles and the other end to the ski , that way when the bottle floats up you will know where to find the ski next time, problem solved.
