Not much info on these...Rickter FS-1build

Hoping to get this build thread started and catch the attention of anyone who has any info on the glass with carbon reinforced fs-1 hull. As far as I know the fs-1, is the first of the Rickter hulls produced. Otherwise there is one video on them from rickter and go ahead and google search rickter fs-1. Just not much info on them...

This is going to be a first for me, I’ve been in the ski game for quite some time now. This is going to be my first aftermarket hull. All the info and input on the FS-1 hull is appreciated, good or bad. I’m not a picky rider and I confidently ride whatever I have at the moment with full enjoyment of just riding period. My current skis are my fx-1 build and I’m putting my first ever square back together. I’ve got several more hulls as wel all square nose, I just like the Yamaha platform and again not picky so the squares are always fun imo.

Currently I have paid for the FS-1 hull, bought it with the hull hood etc and was able to get a fair deal to keep the pole and steering setup on it currently. Absolutely awesome experience buying my first AM ski, I had put the deposit down and as my checks were cashing I was sending away as to not miss out on the opportunity. Seems the hull market is relatively quick and hot right now especially on anything for a good deal. I won’t disclose the price but I’m beyond content with the price I paid as I the seller was a great guy I’ve seen around the groups often as well as very FAIR. Probably want a steal of a deal but im beyond happy. For now here is some pictures of dealing with a power plant for the ski. I don’t currently have the hull yet as it’s being shipped but I’m hoping other fs-1 experienced people will chime in.

Just so you guys know I know what I’m doing. (Sense of humor needed) I have one of these haha. Only 6 or so tools needed to work on these things and if you want to make sure it is running right you need one of these for sure

and no not the fx1 haha

yep. That’s it. Let me know if you have any questions.
That’s awesome man thanks for chiming in! I can say I’m super stoked but I’m not a picky rider and I’m an fx1 guy so I’m imagining I’ll get along with the fs-1 as my first AM ski. Basic power plant but we’ll see what I can make it do as I’m not too bad on the comfort ability of a ski and making it do what it should. Definitely going to be trying to get it together as quick as possible so I can dust the wetsuit off and get some Ride time in!

thing is gonna feel huge compared to an Fx1. Lol!

It will build super easy. No reason y you shouldn’t be able to drop your driveline in, in an evening, and be able to go shred.
I’m keeping all the skis with their current setup but the 61x out of a wet jet Kraze is what is going in the fr-1. I need pre 08 superjet driveshaft and midshaft. Going for a mag stator section for the pump from JM eventually so I can get the full experience out of the 144 setup. Hull is actually getting picked up today and will be on the road to AZ and delivered this week!

i put it together with a 62t/61x combo with girlded head, b pipe and a 140mm mag the first time.About 9 months later I put a dasa 920 in it with a pfp and a 144mm mag. Was a great transition ski for me since most of my riding experience was kawi based beforehand. I couldn’t be happier with my current setup.

What did you move onto? I ride mostly the river and havasu. The river as in Blythe, and parker. As well as I’ll be up in Oceanside checking out the surf eventually.

XFR. The shorter skis are just way more playful. And ride really well at speed for surf.
That’s rad! I’m going to use this ski to get my feet wet in the AM ski game then probably try to move up to an edge fr. loved the edge and when it came out it was crazy to watch the guys do alittle of everything with that hull. Including Gomez winning a motosurf race on it! My buddy out here had a emeQ8 and that thing was cool but definitely not as enjoyable just riding around haha

there’s no way I could’ve waited. I would’ve just drove over the weekend. Ha ha!!
Not even going to act like I wasn’t nervous the ski would end up in Mexico or something crazy haha but I feel like now is as good a time as any with the borders being shut down. My transport guy ended up being a standup rider, had no clue what the ski was though thankfully haha. He was super cool I talked about the eveloution of the standup now and he basically hasn’t ridden since 87 so he was mind blown. The member I got the ski from is absolutely awesome! I’m not sure if he will see this but man you left the intake grate and start stop for me, what an absolute legend man. I’m not necessarily hurting for parts or anything but after a massive purchase like that anything helps. Here is some pics of the ski at home and my homie who’s been ripping with me since I started also was stoked for me!
