Not much info on these...Rickter FS-1build

Ran into my first issue, apparently the water box is a seriously tight squeeze and that’s trying to fit my roundnose water box in. Issue #2 is I set the motor into the hull and tried to see what the pipe figment would be like and it just ain’t happening... maybe I need a different water box or shorter chamber for the b pipe?

I could be wrong but that doesn't look like the right midshaft, looks too long. Also Is the water box in the wrong way?
Your right about the shaft, way too long as it’s out of a wave raider but that’s the correct midshaft housing so I mocked it to make sure that’ll get the shaft pressed out and a superjet shaft pressed in.

You need a SJ midshaft. Pick you up the Jetmaniac wsterbox. It fits really well.
Yep JM will be the go to for the parts! Sounds like I’ve got more work to do at the job before I get more work done to the ski. I am planning on putting new parts in the ski mostly but I’m more interested in actually riding the ski with the most basic setup possible to just enjoy the hull as minimally as possible. Kind of get acquainted before stepping the pump up first then going alittle more elaborate than just the basic stock 61x701.

i was hoping the breather tubes from the pole could be trimmed way back so the RN water box can go in for now... I have the rad dudes long exhaust tube and some small stuff coming from showtime freestyle so I don’t see why this can’t be on the water sooner than later.

Little progress since talking to the person I purchased the hull from. It did have a lay down style pipe in it before so I was told it’s all good to trim the tubes back. Once I did, the water box fit nice and snug! It’s sitting on a piece of the thickest underpaid you can order from HT. Once that went together I dig through my boxes of hoses and made a new stinger to water box hose as well as a long exhaust tube temporarily somehow. I got a rad dudes one coming in the near future. It doesn’t have a midshaft yet but I do have a complete 144 pump ready to go. Want to see what the hull feels like with the bare bones for power plant and pump. Coming off a fx1 with stock pump and stock prop haha!

Since you can’t attach videos I put the test fire up on YouTube. It was spitting to life slowly, then I took the 46sbn offand put the 44 from my fx1 on it. Same thing, kept slowly sputtering until it finally came to life little by little. Once it was able to fire right up and idle I took the video.

Everything fits like a Superjet. It’s a tad wider so it makes it easier to get the b pipe in. It has a scupper so u don’t need the factory siphon. It’ll have 3 tubes. 2 for cooling and 1 for your trim cable. Everyone complains about the scuppers but I’ve never had any issues out of any of mine. Even on my old wamiltons RN hull.

And for some reason I want to say that you need a longer exhaust hose. Did you make sure to ask rad dudes if their hose was long enough?

You kind of just ride mindful of the scupper then huh? Cause this hull is old as it gets for a rickter haha and the scupper flap is nice and tight still. Two of the lines are definitely the same and one looks like it would be for a cable not water haha thanks man!

I’m pretty sure I replaced the scupper flap Atleast once on it when I had it.

Right on! It feels solid as of now so I’ll probably make up a block off plate at some point and carry it around in the trailer with me. Just waiting on the superjet midshaft to press into my housing and I’ll be on my way! Probably have a 62t bottom 61x JM topend started once I get the ski on the water so I can give it a proper power plant. It’s going to be fun experiencing the ski with what is essentially a 94-95 driveterrain.

Yuuuuuuge improvements already. Make myself ski again haha 46sbn that was not working we’ll I decided to dive in. Armed with my mikuni Popoff pressure gauge and a random bag of jets that came with a brand new b pipe I got a loooong time ago for a blaster... started by just taking everything apart and looking at it. Fuel pump side looked great and I had several gaskets to replace the old ones with from my bag of misc carb rebuild parts. Got lucky and found a fresh oring for the needle and seat which helped seal up what was a leaky seat.

Both pilot and main jet were absolutely clogged up. I blew them out after inspecting them and man nothing was going through those haha XD! Cleaned the passages out of the carb with all the jets out and then went ahead and put a 120 pilot with a 145 main. It had a 115 pilot 130 main stock... that’s conservative.

now she fires right up and rips just as it should! Got a shaft coming ASAP and will have it pressed into my housing i sized up. The wet jet couplers are pretty cools I’ll get pics of those!

got some parts from showtime freestyle! I didn’t get it All on but dressed the carb up. Some pics! Alsomade a bit more of a “sealed” test fuel tank haha and a return tank!!! Worked great!
