I would check your hose routing. sounds like maybe you are cooling the pipe and not the cylinders.

Water is coming out of both pissers the one fom the head and the one from the stinger. The pipe and head/cylinders feel the same as far as temperature. What is the correct hose routing on this riva red pipe just to make sure I got it correct?

Never did check that!

It one of those things that you kinda need to know !
Regardless of hat the compression numbers say no engine will live long without the proper squish clearance, if its too wide you just lose some power, if its too little you melt pistons, stick rings and detonate the engine to death.

I will check it when I put this other stock top end on.
Thanks

What kind of squish clearance did you fined? Another thing you might want to do is to keep it on the trailer with the idle up a little bit and starting at the cooling line coming from the pump, remove one end of a cooling line with the ski running and check how much water flow you have and how warm it gets...after a rebuild I always run the ski on the trailer at the launch...Anyone have the best way to plumb a Riva Red pipe?

Well I went stock top end and changed to a coffman exhaust, so far so good no problems at all. The Riva red pipe I had it cut and turn and now am running that in my SJ. On my SJ I have dual cooling so am running one line just to the pipe and the other one to the motor. So far so good on the Red pipe running it like that. Its warm but not hot.
