If I get rid of my stock siphon bilge I can remove they rest of the automatic bailer set up right ? Then just buy a aftermarket bilge system ? Probably another one of my dumb questions I ask but I figure better to be prepared then to not be .
The hull has 2 tubes in it. One for cooling and one for siphon.
If you want to run dual cooling but do not want to add a 3rd tube, you have to remove the siphon and use the siphon tube for the second cooling line.
Post #2 is saying that if you are not setting up dual cooling through the siphon tube, leave the siphon in place.
You have your pump tapped for dual cooling and want to run dual cooling. The second cooling line is going to get connected to what used to be the stock siphon line. There will be nothing to hook the siphon to, so yes, you can remove all of the siphon components.
You must buy a bilge system. You need a bilge, switch, ring terminals, piece of wire for switch to battery, tube to hull fitting, hull fitting, and whatever other components you need to extend and splice wires. Lastly, you need to have a way to install the bilge. You can glue it to the hull or buy a bracket. Most would probably prefer the bracket.
The little screw that holds the stock siphon in place might be hard to get out. I had to remove my engine and use an impact driver to get the screw out.
