SX/SXi/SXi Pro Nozzle Question

I have a 93 750 SX that has the following on it… 1 mm overbore, a Nujet stainless impeller, scoopgrate and a rideplate. I am not sure of the specs on the impeller, I added it back in 95. How do I tell the difference between a small and large hub? I want to add a R & D Afterburner in the near future (this season), and over the winter have the head shaved. I am considering having the reduction nozzle bored… or is it better to use a “stock” one from anther year/model ski?
Thanks!

Youll probably see a better gain using a 650sx nozzle. I did when I put in my TBM cone. I had a bored stock nozzle and switched to a 650 one and love it. I would look into buying a TBM cone as well, its a bit more expensive but is a lot more tunable with the three different size cones.
Small hub will be the same diameter as the inside of the stock pump bearing housing. The large hub will be larger and line up perfectly when you install the pump stuffer. Its is very important to have a large hub with the stuffer cone installed or it will cause cavitation. if you look for a new impeller try finding a 12/18 or even a stock sxr impeller. Your Model ski has a 80mm reduction nozzel on it already, I do not know if the the 650 nozzel is larger or not, so unless you can find one that is larger than 80mm I wouldnt Change. You would have to have yours bored.

I just checked the opening of my 650 sx nozzle compared to the 750 sx... The 650 is larger by at least a couple of mm's! The 650 is flattened where the pivot bolt hold the steer nozzle. The 750 reduction nozzle is aluminum, the 650 is plastic. Does that cause any problem?

The plastic wont hurt anything, also the 650 nozzle has little veins in it to straighten the flow on the reduction nozzle. I noticed a gain when going from a bored nozzle to a stock 650 one
