Octane Issues... Any help appreciated!

I have a 2003 Polaris Octane and need some advice from Octane Owners. I rode it the other day for about an hour. At the end of a 3/4 throttle run it died in the middle of the lake, started right back up and I went straight to the beach. It had about 1 inch of gas left in the tank so I figured that was the problem (low fuel). I added more fuel and tried to start it. It fired a few times, however, would not run. Then it would not fire at all. The compression is good and that is all I have checked. Any ideas on where to start? The boat is 100% stock.

Thanks for any advice...

Clogged return line. Is my guess if you ran out of fuel you may have sucked some stuff up and clogged something in the carb. As speedysproket said check spark and new plugs first

yes it happened to me on sunday with 1 ride old plugs I had spark but the ski wouldn't start and we didnt have another set of plugs on hand so we took one plug and put it in a running ski heated up the plugs then did the other and then they both worked

if you have no spark. id bet your cdi took a dump. Not uncommon on these. check for spark with the plug out of the cylinder. make sure your lanyard is clipped in. Also you can use an visual inline spark inspection tool.
