octane motor in an sxr

we all know the polaris motor makes tons of power . lets see if will turn in a good hull. going to try and use the kaw motor plate and just weld some ears on it to fit the polaris motor.the tank and exhaust should all go right in. anyone looking for an octane hull?

this sxr hull is a warranty replacement due to a crack down the left side. thats all i have of the sxr.other then my 04 sxr. i may have stuck my foot in my mouth by saying i wanted to sell the octane hull to soon. it all hinges on the octane motor working out in the sxr hull. if it works the hull will be for sale. if not i will be putting the polaris back together and selling it complete.this is a winter project. i also have a b2 1200 going on so it may take some time.

the 910 is down the road. i raced the polaris in stock class so its still a stock motor. the power was good just hard to turn. i have the sxr hull so why not see if it works out. who knows i could be on to somthing. anyone have an old style mag cover for a polaris ?

If you have problems with the motor plate call Malone. You may have to email and play around a bit to get ahold of him, but he may make a motor plate that bolts right in.

You could also give Bobby at Trinity a call... they used a 1000cc Polaris in his SXR hull....It realy isnt that much different from what I can tell,... I think the bedplate was just a regular polaris, but may have been something Malone was using... Bobby could tell you what you need to know.

I can tell you that motor in a 66lb sxr hull handles incredible for being so light weight! The only problem with the light weight boat would be hanging on for how ever many laps with such a crazy power to weight. :biggrin:... but it would pull hole shots llike crazy.

eme 800's have a custom composite motor plate sitting on kawi mounts, i don't think they are in the stock locations though, motor looks set back

The bed plate In the Trinity hull is a aluminum plate... Is that what a stock Octane is?

the stock octane is an aluminum plate . but is not even close to lineing up.the motor is way to high. how do i get a hold of Malone?

i have a mag pump in my 04 sxr . so i have a stock pump but thanks any way. i do need a pole braket +nose+front bumper.i have 3 stock hoods and going to turf the side pads.(if i get that far)
