Other ODI Locking grips literally melting away.

I don't mind buying new grips as often as they wear out. I was more wondering if anybody has noticed them having a track record of melting away due to contact with trace amounts of oil/gas. If that turned out to be the case, I'd have to move to a different grip because of how careless I can be with gas cans! Thanks for the responses.

I've been riding for 22 years and have never missed the fuel filler by 3' and spilled on my grips! You need to work on your aim bro! :p

It's the not so trace amount that gets on my hands! A nasty combination of me using a traditional gas can w/ the stupid safety nozzle they have now, the fact that my fuel pickups leave zero room to comfortably operate said safety nozzle, and I'm too lazy to undo a hose clamp and pull the pickups ;)

I like to think that the fuel splashing over the pickup lines aerates the fuel, thus giving me a much more consistent fuel:eek:il mix!
