SXR ODI's on stock sxr bars ???

has anyone put ODI's on stock sxr bars ? i want to know if i can just unglue the stock grips (which i know are a PITA) and slap on ODI's? i dont want aftermarket bars just yet.

I put a set on my 06 and I had to cut the ends off the bars to make the ODI's work. The stock bars have a wide end cap that the grip fits over to prevent them from coming off.

do u recall approximately how much you cut off ?
