What the hell? AtlanticJetSports was also unable to get me a YUASA so I had to go with JetWorks. :stups:

I paid 79 bucks for a Jetworks battery the other day from Jetworks, and a battery tender plus for it for like 40. I don't know if the battery price has increased yet, but if you can get a better battery (And not a questionable alarm system battery, or something like that) for cheaper than 79 new, I shall kiss ye' arse. :D

I paid $49 for this little beauty. Maybe not better than the Jetworks but it's sealed and the specs are comparable to the Odyssey PC625. Came with a free charger, too, though not a decent one like a Tender.

How many amp hours is it rated for?

I had some from work, that looked identical to the jetworks batteries, and they wouldnt crank the ski.

they WRE labeled as " bad " though from our engineering dept.
they showed good voltage though, so not sure if they were defective, or simply lacking the current capacity to start a ski.

Jetworks baby all the way cheaper than odyessy and much better quality and no problems with warranty should it happen to break within the warranty period.I do have an odyessy question though, are they going to honor the warranty on all these dead batteries I have and could not get replaced because of the backorder status?

About the GPS Batt. They make batterys for power wheel chairs... I run them in all of my pro race Hoverround's (j/k). I called the company and asked the guy there about the batts they sell. He was supposed to e-mail me a chart showing all of the detailed specs on this battery but I never got it? I will try again. If you read the fine print they may not ship the GPS batt. He said if they are not available, they willl ship a comprable batttery instead.

I got the GPS one, luckily(not a substitute). I am running it in the SN now. Cranks it just as well as my Odyssey PC625 cranks my RN.

And Matt, I was wondering about the UPS batteries. I just took home 4 of them that came out of an APC Smartups 3000. I haven't tried them in a ski yet though. When the Neverstart eventually croaks in the Blaster, which shouldn't be long from now, I'll toss one of these in it for giggles.

Let me know how that UPS =batery works out, then I will know if these are dead, or just too wimpy.

never seen these batt's or tried them. but i have used basically the same from cable vision and phone system cabinets. problem i ran into was they put out a steady 12.5 volts and ??? amps it didn't have an increased cranking amp and it wouldn't last very long starting a truck or running a trolling motor from my experience. maybe yours a different im not sure.

That may very well be the deal. They are 18 amp hours, but no where could I find a spec for cranking amps, and of course cranking is not the purpose of what these batteries were designed for anyhow.

But, I gotta try them, since the price was right. Like Homer Simpson says "Nuthin a month, I can afford that!"

yeah im pretty sure there built for steady power for long periods. and i used several of them, just that on a trolling motor (12v) it lasted about 3 hours fishing. on a car as long as it didnt sit to long seem to crank fine. they just never seemed to have the power that a normal batt does on either of those applications. and hey sxipro i used them for the same reason, nothings better then free. :fing02:

I was just wondering how those are comparable specs? The Odyessy is stated as having 625 cranking amps in short burst of 10 seconds, you are saying that the GPS battery is rated at 280 amps, regular wet call YB16CL-B's are rated at 270 amps so it is comparable to a YB16CL-B but not to an Odyessy PC625 as far as specifications go.
