Odyssey PC-310

I have been doing an experiment for the past four weeks and so far, so good.

I bought an Odyssey PC-310 battery (from our site supporter The Battery Store, by the way) for my 2001 SJ. It's a Ducati race battery, but it has enough power to turn over and run my SJ.

The PC-310 is a 6 pound Odyssey (compared to the normal 13 pound PC-625 and other batteries). I am running an Advent ignition, so it puts quite a load on the battery when starting AND running. I'm very pleased. It was $114.00, but if it works, that's the cheapest way to lose seven pounds in the front of the ski.

I'll update you if I run into problems.

Just thought I'd pass the idea along.

Be aware that you are voiding your warranty by running that battery in your Superjet.
Not that it matters. See my sig.
By the way, this is in no way a slam against The Battery Store - only against Odyssey.

Jetworks also has a small battery for use w/charging systems. Ask Art about it next time you talk to him. Good feedback so far.

to save seven lbs, I would lay off the doritos and cheese burgers for a while, before I lost any battery capacity.

ive had to rely on the battery to run bilges, and then pump water out of the engine too many times to want LESS capacity.

thats the battey store guy I was talking about Matt, did you talk to him about warranty service? he sells them for the pwc market right?

I wasn't aware of that. I would have bought his had I known, but I didn't see it on his site. Next time.
