Donald went for it again this year. Not to bad for his 2nd attempt I dont think. He tried once last year and 3 times yesterday.

No way man!!! Your finishing touch is still there!!!! Even after 2 more nose ins and a 1000 mile trip home. LMAO.

What I dont understand is knowing how shallow it is there, why take the chance......

I had no issues last year. Backy attempt and huge inverted stabs for 3 days and never smashed my nose like this.

Plus I was in 11 or so feet of water. Way over my head but I still smashed her in going big (for me anyway).

Ski is 7', after the ski submerges there is only 4 more feet, plus keep in mind on the back side of the waves it may be shallower than 11 feet......

It was even a pain in the arse to get the ski out into the water. Dragging it seemed like there was more friction then the soft stuff i am familiar with in Michigan. By the time i had teh ski back in the water after tides i was so tired i was ready to come in for a break.

It is more like glue............

It is very hard sand........... but soft sand will rip a nose off just as easy......

Oh well it was SOOOO worth it!! Live and learn. I guess I have a reason to learn rolls now.

Did anybody actually go out and check the depth any? I did this 2 years ago when I was there since I had been told and seen the carnage over the years from people posting about ripping their noses off there. I do it now anytime I ride in the surf if I do not know the area.

i got the footage from some cool peeps from ohio....i feel these two moments were the things i wanted to see...its amazing that i met them and they had no intention of getting these shots...IT JUST HAPPENED:bigeyes::bigeyes:.i will get better copies of the vids but just couldn't wait to share

At least I got it fixed and got to ride some. It's a shame I spent so much time working that I didn't get to see any of Legdragger's tricks.

yes im fine...i didn't bail i just could hold on....it was my first try....the next couple worked out....i hope someone got them on video....even though i will be doing countless more times:wave:
